Do You Live In Ronkonkoma Or Lake Ronkonkoma?

We've gone 10 years covering Ronkonkoma like no one else, thousands of pictures, countless events, we represented our community when no one even realized we did.  Ronkonkoma and Lake Ronkonkoma is a unique community in the EpiCenter of Long Island.

On the Lake Ronkonkoma side, they have the Ronkonkoma Fire Department, Ronkonkoma Post Office, Ronkonkoma Train Station In Brookhaven and it's in the Sachem School District.  The Islip-Ronkonkoma side has the Lakeland Fire Department, no post office, no train station(there used to be one by Ocean Ave) and it's in the Connetquot School District.

Homes in Ronkonkoma are deeded as Lake Ronkonkoma which can put attorneys on the edge of their seats at closing time.

My Ronkonkoma was created to be part of both towns, both townships and for all the people.  We're all the same, hard workers, we have great friends families and we're close to almost everything in western, central and eastern Suffolk County.

The fact is, we should be all Ronkonkoma and the only thing that's Lake Ronkonkoma is the kettle Lake in between the 3 townships.  Smithtown, Islip & Brookhaven.  In fact, it's believed the word Ronkonkoma comes from the Native American meaning of "boundary fishing hole".

The Ronkonkoma Moraine travels through our towns and is the reason for the hills and rocky soil.  It's considered the Back Bone Of Long Island.
