Sayville, NY – The original Cornucopia Natural Foods opened its doors in 1976 and has been a
pillar of the community throughout multiple eras of transformation. The small business will
officially be opening a second location at TRITEC’s Station Yards in Ronkonkoma, NY. Opening
this new store will be the largest project Cornucopia has undertaken to date and is set to break
ground this fall with an opening date to come in early 2025.
Only 6 miles from the original store, Cornucopia at Station Yards will provide a similar, but
enhanced experience, intended to focus on serving the residents of the new development and
surrounding community along with commuters headed through Ronkonkoma’s transit hub.
Elevated prepared food, convenient shopping, and a curated product selection will define the
shelves at the new storefront. In this nearly 7,000 square-foot space, customers can expect the
well-loved deli-counter classics, an expansive fresh (produce, bread, cheese) department,
wellness essentials, and all the great values on pantry staples which the residents of Sayville are
already accustomed to.
Drew Alexander, the Owner of Cornucopia Natural Foods expresses his anticipations: “Everyone
at Cornucopia is excited to be opening our second location at Station Yards. It is an absolute joy
to be able to serve our community in Sayville with the finest – and cleanest – natural products
available. Expanding to Station Yards will allow us to bring the same benefits to a new
community while providing a space for new and exciting offerings to our dedicated local fans. I
love the idea of a downtown hub featuring exclusively local businesses and am especially excited
to bring our mission of sustainability and social responsibility to Ronkonkoma.”
Similar to Cornucopia, TRITEC is dedicated to supporting small and local businesses, which is a
defining factor at Station Yards. TRITEC’s family-owned background, involvement in similar
charity organizations, sustainability efforts, and company culture align greatly with that of
Cornucopia’s, making this an easy partnership.
TRITEC’s Station Yards is a 53-acre development at the Ronkonkoma Train Station. The
complex will offer 1,450 apartments, 195,000 square feet of retail space, 360,000 square feet of
office space, a public plaza and more. Station Yards will soon become a hub for the community,
offering restaurants, shopping, events, amenities, and convenient travel.
